Beyond The Protests (BTP) is a new digital platform and native mobile app, built to harness the full social justice might and economic power of the African & Black Diaspora. BTP is a collective of Black voices designed to guide the narrative that counters the continual and systemic racism in the United States.
The Inconvenience Of Being Black : A Film About Driving While Black
His latest short film, The Inconvenience of Being Black, highlights the challenges of driving while Black during a routine traffic stop. Ukachi, the writer and director of the critically acclaimed short film "The Inconvenience Of Being Black", is a New York-based producer/director with a love of stories. From a very early age, Ukachi has always been captivated by the power of stories, and speaks about that power with reverence when he says "before there were pens & paper; before there were typewriters and Ipads human beings used stories to record their history, convey their dreams, and to inspire one another”. For over 15 years Ukachi has been telling stories in the film and television industry in New York, Shanghai, & Lagos.

Soul Summit: Doin' It In The Park
Soul Summit has been a staple of Brooklyn summers since 2002, when it was founded by DJs Sadiq Bellamy, Tabu, and Jeff Mendoza, at Cuyler Gore Park on the corner of Fulton St. and Greene Ave. in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Tayo Giwa and Cynthia Gordy Giwa, the husband and wife team behind the digital publication Black-Owned Brooklyn, have released their first short film. It's a documentary called Soul Summit: Doin' It In The Park, which is about the free, open-air, house music event that many people from Brooklyn and beyond look forward to every summer.
